Jarod Palmer

Growing up in Fridley, Minnesota, Coach Palmer found every opportunity possible to play and practice the sport of ice hockey.  After playing high school hockey for the Fridley and Spring Lake Park, Palmer joined USA Hockey's National Team Development Program in the Under- 17 Team in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  After high school graduation, Coach Palmer went on to play for the Tri-City Storm, United States Hockey League (USHL) junior team.  During the 05-06 season, he was named captain of his team.  Two years later, he gained a college scholarship to Miami University of Ohio, where he played 4 years and graduated with an interdisciplinary business degree in Entrepreneurship from the Farmer School of Business at Miami.

During his time at Miami, Coach Palmer appeared in all 169 games, setting the school record.  He also made two appearances at the NCAA National Championship Games.

2010 CCHA First Team

After graduation, Coach Palmer signed with the Minnesota Wild Hockey Club, playing 3 seasons prior to retirement.  

Coach Palmer's enthusiasm and dedication to the game of hockey continues as second year head coach for the NA3HL team, the Sugar Land Imperials in Sugar Land, Texas.
